Which operating systems does the Waterkaarten app support?

The Waterkaarten app is compatible with the following devices and operating systems:

Apple iPhones and iPads running iOS 13 (2019 release) and higher
Android smartphones and tablets running Android 11 (2020 release) and higher
Windows laptops and computers running Windows 10 and up
You can install our app on Apple/Mac computers with an M1 processor or higher, however, we do not support the app on MacOS

Older versions of these operating systems may work, but not optimally: this may cause display errors and delays in how the app operates. We also no longer support older operating systems. The app will continue to work, but we no longer update or provide support.

Why is that? At Waterkaarten, we want to guarantee your safety when you use our app.

Many apps, such as Waterkaarten, no longer support older systems for security reasons. Apple and Google no longer release active security updates for these old versions, making them vulnerable to abuse. In addition, modern apps use new technologies that older systems cannot handle. To protect users and provide a stable app, support for old Apple and Android versions is therefore discontinued.
