Download for WindowsSystem requirements
Windows 10 or Windows 11. The Nautical Maps app for Windows works on any computer compatible with Windows 10 or Windows 11.
How to install
The download is an installable program. Start the installation after downloading and run the program for the first time. The first time, the program itself will retrieve other files containing the most current almanac data and other data. This will take a while, but is necessary to be able to use all information offline.
Activate
If you already have a subscription for the Nautical Maps app, you can also use it in the app on Windows. Log into the app with the same email address and password that you use in the app on your smartphone or tablet. This also works if you have a free trial subscription.
Online versus offline
More and more on-board computers have access to the internet. The Nautical Maps app for Windows assumes that an internet connection is available. The most recent shipping messages are then automatically retrieved and if new almanac data is available, you can immediately retrieve this data.
Just like in the app on your smartphone or tablet, you must first download one or more sailing areas in order to work offline.
If you also use the Nautical Maps app for Windows at home on your desktop computer, you can always work online and always have the most up-to-date information.
