The app is not working, what should I do?

We regularly get messages from our users telling us that their app no longer works. There could be many different reasons as to why this happens. We have listed the most common ones below.

Your subscription has ended

If your subscription has ended, you will only be able to see the profile screen in the app which will display in red. Also, your profile page will show that you have 0 days left. You can top up the number of days by buying a new subscription.

Compatibility issues

Apple and Google are getting stricter about not supporting older devices and older versions of their operating systems Android and iOS. Check if your device is still compatible with the Waterkaarten app, as older devices are sometimes no longer supported. Please see here for the latest OS versions that we support.

Are you using the latest version of the Waterkaarten app?

Has the app been updated to the latest version? An outdated version can cause malfunctions. At the bottom of your profile page in the app, you will see which version you have installed. If your phone or tablet does not update automatically, you can search the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for our app to see if an update is available.

No internet connection

Despite the fact that our app works fine without an internet connection, you will not be able to create automatic routes and you will not see the latest shipping messages and water level updates. If you miss those features, then please make sure you have an active internet connection.

App restart

Try closing the app and then restarting it. This can often solve minor glitches. If that still doesn’t work, sometimes un-installing and re-installing the app can help.
