In the Waterkaarten app, it is possible to set your home location. Convenient, because this way, when planning your route, you can immediately use your home location as the start or end point of the route. It can be a marina (or any other kind of POI) or a place on the map that you can set yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I set my home location?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Tap in the Waterkaarten app the search bar and then the ‘Plan a route<\/strong>‘ button to enter your Starting point and Destination. By default, your current location is set as your starting point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you then tap the text ‘Current location<\/strong>‘, you can also choose ‘Search on the map’ and ‘Set home location’ below the bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, tap ‘Set home location<\/strong>‘. You can then search for a port (or other POI) in the search bar and set it as your home location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also tap ‘Search on the map<\/strong>‘ to set a place on the map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next time…<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The next time you plan a route, you can tap ‘Current location’ in the ‘Starting point’ bar and immediately set your home location as the starting point. The same works for the bar where you can enter your destination. Useful if you want to plan a route back to your home location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
