The Waterkaarten software for Windows<\/a> works with virtually any GPS module (or antenna) that supports the NMEA protocol and is connected to the PC via a USB cable. Install the driver or the driver software that comes with the GPS module and is compatible with your version of Windows. We don\u2019t recommend using a wireless GPS module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To purchase an external GPS module for your tablet or PC, choose a model that can be connected with a USB cable. We recommend using an AIS receiver that also supports GPS<\/a>. For GPS reception, we would recommend purchasing a GPS antenna<\/a> with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also special versions with a longer USB cable, suitable for installation outside on the mast or railing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
