If there are any updates on waterways, bridges and so on, you will see a warning triangle <\/meta>(\"\") on the map.\u00a0This is a fairway message. Tap the icon to read the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fairway message is an important announcement on a waterway, often near a bridge or lock. For example, it may indicate that a bridge is being inspected and that you should sail slowly and carefully, or that there is shallow water, but it may also indicate that a bridge or lock is not being operated, or even that a bridge, lock or entire waterway is blocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is important because when you set sail, there may well be a notice affecting your planned route or sailing area. This could have unpleasant consequences, such as delays or having to sail a different route than planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fairway messages in our app are: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • In the Netherlands, provided by Rijkswaterstaat<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In Belgium, provided by Visuris<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In Germany, provided by ELWIS<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In France, provided by VNF<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \u2026and are processed and updated by us every hour, as long as you have an online connection. If you are not connected, you will see the messages from the last time you were online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please note: <\/strong>our route planner does not take fairway messages into account, but it will show you via a notification whether they occur on or along your route when you have planned a route. You will also see the messages in the route list in the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Always check before you set sail whether there are any fairway messages on your planned route or in your sailing area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
